Privacy

Privacy. Without the mystery.

Your information shouldn’t require a law degree to understand.
Here’s what we collect, why we collect it and what you can do about it.

Effective date:

1. Information We Collect

This policy explains how Origin 965 handles information about visitors to this website, people who contact us about our marketing services, and people who subscribe to the Origin 965 newsletter.

When you submit an enquiry through our website, you may provide:

  • Your name
  • Business name, if provided
  • Email address
  • The service you are interested in, if selected
  • How you heard about us, if provided
  • Your message and other information you choose to share

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide. Newsletter signup is separate from our enquiry forms. Submitting an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

When you use the website, our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and request information, requested pages, access times, and security-related information needed to deliver the website, prevent abuse, apply rate limits, and protect our forms and services.

2. How We Use Information

We use information you provide to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and requests
  • Understand your business needs and the services you are interested in
  • Arrange and conduct business communications
  • Provide and support services you request
  • Manage our business correspondence
  • Operate, secure, and protect our website and forms
  • Prevent spam, fraud, and abusive submissions
  • Manage newsletter subscriptions and subscription status
  • Send newsletter subscribers a welcome email
  • Send occasional Origin 965 articles, updates, and marketing emails
  • Process unsubscribe and later re-subscription requests
  • Meet applicable legal and recordkeeping obligations

Contacting Origin 965 or submitting an enquiry does not automatically add you to our newsletter. We send newsletter emails only when you separately provide your email address through a newsletter signup form or otherwise explicitly request those updates. We currently expect to send newsletter emails around once or twice a month when we publish something we believe is useful.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The current website code does not install advertising cookies, Google Analytics, Google Ads tracking or Meta Pixel. Our hosting provider may use technical logs or security technologies to deliver the website and prevent abuse. Browser settings let you control or delete cookies.

If we introduce optional analytics or advertising tracking, we will update this policy and provide any notices and consent choices required before activating those technologies. Links to social platforms or other websites take you to services with their own privacy and cookie policies.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information, and the current website does not use personal information for targeted advertising.

We use service providers where needed to operate the website and our communications. Cloudflare provides website hosting, delivery, security, abuse prevention, and related infrastructure. Resend processes email delivery for website enquiries and also processes newsletter contacts, welcome emails, marketing broadcasts, and subscription status on our behalf.

Messages sent through our enquiry forms are delivered to our business email account so authorised Origin 965 team members can respond. Information may also be handled by other service providers supporting our communications and business operations where reasonably necessary.

We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, users, our services, or the security of our business. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to the safeguards and legal requirements applicable to those services.

5. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You can ask about the personal information we hold about you, or request access, correction, or deletion, by emailing contact@origin965.com. Please describe your request without sending passwords or sensitive identity documents. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

Every Origin 965 marketing email includes an unsubscribe option. If you unsubscribe, we update your subscription status so that you no longer receive newsletter marketing emails. If you later choose to sign up again, you may re-subscribe using one of our newsletter signup forms.

Depending on your location and which laws apply, you may also have rights to receive a copy of your data, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain processing, opt out of certain uses, or appeal a decision. We will handle applicable requests within the period required by law, subject to applicable exceptions. You may contact the relevant privacy regulator if you have an unresolved concern.

6. Data Retention and Security

We retain enquiry information, correspondence, and business information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, taking account of active enquiries, service relationships, recordkeeping needs, security requirements, and legal obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it is needed.

Newsletter contact information and subscription status may be retained while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may retain the information necessary to record and honour that opt-out, prevent unwanted marketing emails, maintain records, and meet applicable legal or compliance obligations.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information handled through our website and communications. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or other highly sensitive information through our general enquiry forms or by ordinary email. Contact us if you believe information shared with us has been compromised.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our website and business services are intended for adults acting on behalf of businesses, not for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services and data practices change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent for material changes.
